Hi Gadi
The ring was folded from an uncut square of platinum! Ha Ha.
For the Raven I used Strathmore (500 series) paper, but it felt a bit thinner than the 120gsm Canson paper.

My progress as of a couple days ago on the Vincent I'm creating...
My drawing
Status of model
The right hand holding the gun is about complete, everything else still needs work. I've done more work on him since then.

It's looking good, but you're gonna need to find more paper for the legs, hah (they always hog all the paper! grr...). What's your grid size? And is it foil you're using? I have a trouble gridding foil paper because creases tend to shrink the dimensions more in comparison to other paper, I think anyway.
I hope all goes well. I'd hate to see any of the time gridding that sheet be wasted, haha.

Well actually, the legs are not shown in the picture, they are just cut-off in the picture. They are longer than the torso/head...
Here's a quick picture:
Also, the paper is foil paper, and the grid is 56 by 56.
Also, in celebration of Super Smash Brothers Brawl coming out in the Americas, I folded Meta Knight during school today!

I borrowed Edwin Corrie's Puppy Dog step 2-3 base. Thanks Edwin!

Hah, alright, Nathan. I was a bit confused with the first picture because I know you've got lots of experience with humanoids. You've got plenty of paper there, hah. And great job on Metaknight, though I'm a Lucas fan myself...

I tried my first crease
Post by JOHNg »
I been wanting to try the crease patterns and finally found one to try. Yes it was and easy one but I still got myself all confused. I followed the instructions and was about to give up when OMG it all came together. lol I am new to Origami but find it fun and actually relaxing (at times) for me.
You can't just fold one!

I love that katana! My favorite part is the color changes and the hilt.
Anyway, today at school I folded Meta Knight, but with better paper (foil instead of printer paper).

Oooh that katana is great! Do you have plans to release a CP? Also, good job on the meta knight, although I still think you could make some improvements: the face is a little unclear, and the sword could have barbs...but that said, there are a lot of good things going on too: I love the shoulder pads and the cape-they do meta knight justice. Also, is that an asymmetric design?

Yeah, the only real problems I had with Meta Knight were the sword and mask. The model has a symmetric crease pattern- I don't know how to add barbs to the sword though...
