This book is about a pony with wings, and her name is Paige. The big problem in this book is that every time Paige tries to make herself look prettier for the Pony Gala, she looks even worse.
When she was rolling around in the grass and swishing her tails in flowers, she heard the bees. They said they couldn't get their honeycomb out. So she fluttered up and pushed the honeycomb with her hoof. It wouldn't budge. Eventually it came out, then she tried to get it through the hole, and Boom! it splattered out and broke into two pieces on her back. Then she went back to roll in the grass of Heather Hill, but because her coat was so sticky all the twigs and stuff sticked to her and her coat did not look shiny at all.
Then she had to help a bunch more animals, but she kept getting dirtier and dirtier. Finally it was time for the Pony Gala, but Paige didn't want to go. When she finally went up she hid behind a maple tree. When it was time for the prettiest pony champion, her little sister Pia had to stop the judges because she really wanted Paige to go. But they couldn't find her, and her little sister began to cry, so Paige emerged from her hiding spot. She went in the ring and all of the ponies in the contest ran around. When the championship was done, the winner was Poppy, her friend. Pretty soon all of Paige's friends who she helped went over and helped clean Paige up. Then one of the judges overheard what was going on and presented Paige with the Nicest Pony Award.
I liked this book because Paige helped everybody even though she got really messy.

This was Podling 5's pick for our most recent read-aloud partnership. She freely admitted that she chose this one "because it has glitter on it and you hate glitter and cute things" and then she rubbed the book up and down against my arm to get glitter on me. To be fair, I *had* just make her read a collection of kid-level Dickens retellings. But anyway, about the book. It's intended for kids at her level, so it's simple and cute; and there's nice alliteration all the way through, which I liked; This was Podling 5's pick for our most recent read-aloud partnership. Další nádherný příběh. I kroupu jsem uronila.
I když mám jisté pochybnosti, že by malá veverka udržela velkého poníka, který ztratí rovnováhu a spadne do bláta.

Jde o první čtení. Takže je otázkou, jestli je vhodné měnit s/z a c/z (plázzztev, zzza pomozzz...)

Fluff. Not a lot of depth. Cute to read to my 4 year old. An easy read.
